Summertime....And the Livin' is Easy!

Glen Falls is a triple waterfall near Highlands with four great scenery stops along the two-mile roundtrip hike in the Nantahala National Forest.
The upper and middle sections are the most beautiful.  This is just one of many Waterfalls within a one hour drive of Franklin and Otto.

Directions: From Franklin, take Highlands Road, US Highway 64 East 20 miles into Downtown Highlands.
Go south on NC Highway 106 about 1.7 miles and look for the sign to Glen Falls Scenic area on the left. After you turn, the gravel road to the falls (SR 1618) veers off immediately to the right.
The road dead ends into the parking area in about a mile.

Franklin and Otto Market Update - June 2014

The market recovery in our area reminds me of a turtle....slow and steady.  Average home prices for 2014 are just about where they were in 2013 at roughly $127,400.  This year, realtors have sold 182 homes with 95 of those being purchased for cash.  We see folks using their 401k funds and other savings to purchase real estate because as we all know....they just aren't "makin any more of it" and buyers are confident that it's a good investment.

John (aka Bald Head) and I did a quick video in May about the state of the Franklin and Otto market:  Watch the Video

Your support and friendship is truly appreciated.   See you next month!
